Career Junction for Women in Law 31 July 2021
We kickstarted Women’s month with a career Junction in collaboration with SA women Judges making a difference, University of Johannesburg and Women Leadership Academy ( Woza). The platform was shared with SA Women Judges making a Difference, the Dean of the Law faculty & academics from UJ , the UJ law clinic, LPC, legal practitioners, the Offices of the Family Advocate, LegalWise, The Women in Law Initiative and our Directors. Our intention was to showcase various terrains on the market for graduates and jobseekers and to follow through with our mentorship programs, connecting graduates to vocations, fostering a sisterhood and continue with our specialised training for women in law in order for them to achieve their full potential advancing parity , diversity and inclusion. All biographies of presenters are on this site as well as on our Facebook pages under Women in law South Africa & the Women in law and Leadership Academy as well as on the website of UJ . See www.uj.ac.za
Also follow our directors Rehana Khan Parker, Subashnee Moodley and Laura Morwesi Dlepu on LinkedIn.
Our August calendar will be an exciting one with a range of topics and career opportunities to be shared by presenters who will provide an in-depth webinar of their offices , what jobs they offer , learnerships available and discuss what’s expected from practitioners and share gendered litigation in their fields of law. Forthcoming webinars include training in specialized fields dominated by men.
